HISTORY
OF IFB ACTIVITIES ...
Impact Foundation Bangladesh is one of the leading
NGOs operating in the field of disability in
Bangladesh. Since its inception, IFB has been
receiving support and encouragement from UK Impact
Foundation, which has helped it to establish itself
as a viable organization with the mandate to prevent
disability in Bangladesh.
In the past, IFB received funds from a wide-range of
development partners, which vary significantly from
one another in terms of their country of origin and
funding source and type. IFB presently benefits from
this diverse funding base and especially the core
funding of its closest partner-UK Impact Foundation
(UKIF). Apart from UKIF, IFB received funding from
Kadoorie Charitable Foundation, Stiftung Worldwide
Investments, Hellen Keller International, Handicap
International, Save the Children-Sweden, OXFAMGB,
DANIDA, Duncun Brothers (Bangladesh) LTD, British
High Commission-Dhaka, Australian High
Commission-Dhaka, Impact Forum Norway and HSBC.
IFB gains many non-financial benefits from working
with a range of partners, through the exchange and
input of information, new ideas and policies,
technical and other expertise.
The activities of IFB, which began as small
footsteps, with the support of its donors and
friends have already turned to a steady stride.
Within this period IFB has been able to create
awareness about the importance of prevention of
disability among policy makers and community people.
For background information on its activities,
different implemented projects of IFB since 1993 are
briefly discussed below:

children having a direct positive impact on
prevention of disability. |
